Dr Khaled El-Khawas, MBBCh MPH FCICM
Dr. Khaled El-Khawas is a certified Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME, DAME2) with CASA and a licensed private pilot since 2011. His unique combination of professional and personal aviation experience allows him to understand the specific health requirements of pilots, air traffic controllers, and other aviation professionals.
With a background in critical care medicine, ongoing training in intensive care through the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM), and extensive experience in critical aeromedical retrieval working with Northern Territory Retrieval Service (NTRS), the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) and Adult Retrieval Victoria (ARV), Dr. Khaled El-Khawas brings top-level medical expertise to his aviation medical practice.
As an adjunct senior research fellow at Monash University and a member of the Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine (ASAM), Dr El-Khawas ensures that his assessments meet the highest standards to support the health and safety of aviation professionals. He offers thorough, efficient, personalized medical exams to help you maintain your certification and keep flying.
Dr El-Khawas is an active flying member of the Royal Victorian Aero Club (RVAC) at Moorabbin Airport.
